PRIVATE COACHING WITH VANIA MATHEUS, MA, MS, CPCC, ACC
If you were living, loving, and working exactly the same way one year from now, would that be good enough? I coach people whose answer is NO.
Real Conversations. Bolder Moves.
Not Bold, Bolder.
THE "-ER" IS THE WHOLE POINT.
Bolder isn’t a personality trait. It’s the accumulation of micro-risks: small moves that bring you closer to the way you want your life to be now.
The conversation. The boundary. The ask. The decision.
A different response. A different choice. A risk worth taking.
Why? So you can love your life a little more. Or a whole lot more.
That’s You, Bolder.
"For five years, I struggled to find the right words, the right time, and the right mindset to have a difficult conversation. Vania asked a series of simple yet insightful questions that helped me uncover the true source of the conflict. Her ability to move me from avoidance to action was invaluable."
- Paul Taylor, CEO, Livestrong
Who I Work With
IN A YEAR FROM NOW,
WHAT DO YOU WANT
TO BE DIFFERENT?
You know a lot about yourself. You’ve probably thought about this more than once. But there comes a point when you don’t want to spend another year thinking about it.
We love each other. We’d also prefer not to have the same argument for the rest of our natural lives.
Why am I so attracted to this guy when the kind, emotionally available human being over there barely registers?
I understand my family. I know the patterns. And somehow, I still end up right back in them.
I’ve worked hard to build this career. But I don’t want to keep doing this for another ten years.
I’ve been going around and around on this decision. I know I’m missing something.
My child needed me for a long time. Things are finally more stable, and I’m realizing I haven’t thought about what I want my own life to look like now.
I spend my days helping other people make hard changes. It’s surprisingly hard to see my own next move from inside my life.
Nothing is terribly wrong. I’ve built a good life. I just know I want something more from the next part of it.
What the Work Looks Like
THE WORK HAPPENS
IN REAL LIFE.
Insight is useful. What you do with it changes things, one bolder move at a time.
When we work together, my clients are:
Having conversations they used to avoid.
Making decisions they’ve been circling.
Setting boundaries and holding them.
Dating differently.
Showing up differently in their relationships
Responding differently instead of repeating the same pattern.
Taking chances on the things they want.
They’re making bolder moves in the places that matter to them.
“IT KIND OF BLOWS MY MIND THAT THIS IS ME.”
“Thank you for listening to me, but really, thank you for challenging me and helping me become a better version of myself.”

Why Vania
I’LL TELL YOU
WHAT I SEE.
For more than twenty-five years, people have trusted me with the conversations and decisions that matter most.
As a former marriage and family therapist and the founder of a therapeutic and educational consulting practice, I spent decades guiding parents (including CEOs and tech executives at places like Google, Meta, and Genentech, and leaders at Stanford University) through complex, consequential decisions involving their struggling teens and young adults. Today, I’m also frequently sought out by mental health professionals, psychologists, and clinical leaders for their own coaching.
I listen closely, ask questions, notice patterns, and give you my perspective on what I’m seeing, especially what may be harder to see from where you stand.
You decide what fits, what doesn’t, and what you want to do with it.
Then we turn what matters into something you can actually do. And I’ll hold you accountable.
Our conversations are lively, candid, and often very funny. I’ll challenge you when you need it, and I’ll be in your corner the whole way.
